Vocational Training Center Inauguration

 

 

Rotary Club Of Jamshedpur Green Inaugurated Its "Vocational Training Center " "स्वावलंबन" at  Mango. The Inauguration was done by District Governor Bipin Chachan , PDG Dr Bharat too graced the occasion .

The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Green's elapsed self -reliance center will be a sign of self -strength for women, said Mr. Bipin Chachan, District Governor of Jharkhand -Bihar, Rotary district 3250 today,while  inaugurating the vocational training center " SWAVALAMBAN" in Jamshedpur, initiated by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Green in Mango on Saturday.  "Swavalamban". Rotary Jamshedpur Green President Ananna Dutta said that this resilience  center will become a powerful medium to provide training and employment to needy women. All interested and eligible women will also be given other vocational training along with sewing skills to enable them for a sustainable livelihood with respect and make life happy.  On the occasion well known plastic surgeon Dr. R Bharat and members of Rotary Jamshedpur Green were present to grace the occasion.

Weekly Meeting and New Members Induction

 


Rotary Club Of Jamshedpur Green had its Weekly meeting at Hotel Kannelite on 12th February . We celebrated our Member Mamta Mishra & Pradeep Mishra's Anniversary too. This week's Speaker was PDG Dr Bharat . He spoke the basics of Rotary, the History of Rotary and how and who started the Polio eradication and vaccines.He also inducted 2 new members .

Mega Health Check Up

 


"Rotary Club Of Jamshedpur Green " organised a "Mega Health Check-up camp at + S S High SchoolPatamda . The Free Health camp was organised for the Parents of the school and Villagers of Patamda. The Doctors , technicians of the Narayana Health Care and Purnima Netralay did the general check up, eye checkup,ECG those were needed, blood tests and blood pressure were done for all the patients. After the eye check up the patients who were detected with cataract will be operated on 26th February by the Purnima Netralaya doctors.  Total 75 patients were done with all the check ups and 8 Villagers were detected with cataract . Rtn Mamta Mishra, Rtn Neelam Jayaswal, Rtn Kusum Thakur and Rtn Pradeep Mishra were present from the Jamshedpur Green.

World Aids Day

 


On the occasion of World Aids Day, Rotary Jamshedpur Green organised an awareness program on HIV at GNM school of Nursing MGM Hospital, Sakchi. The talk was delivered by Dr.(Prof.) Nirmal Kumar to the Nursing students and the dignitaries present there.He briefly explained the causes of HIV , how it is transmitted and how proper treatment can help people with HIV healthy life. Since December is disease prevention month, our club has decided to adopt 6 HIV positive children whose parents died of HIV with nutritious food for 6 months. These children are not orphans, they live with their relatives. Dr Balram Jha , who is Nodal Officer of ART Centre and HOD Medicine has given consent to our proposal. The Hospital Superintendent and Head of the Departments (Dr.) of MGM were present on the occasion. Beautiful Rangoli on HIV awareness was made by the nursing students of the hostel.

Bone Density and Vitamin D Test


 Bone Density & Vitamin D Check Up 
Rotary Club Of Jamshedpur Green organised free bone density and Vitamin D Check Up for the 46 inmates of the missionary Of Charity. The inmates who were diagnosed with osteoporosis and osteopenia were given Vitamin D supplements  under the guidance of Dr (Prof.) Nirmal Kumar.

Thalassemia Awareness

 

Rotary Club Of Jamshedpur Green organised an awareness program on Thalassemia in the auditorium of Netaji Subhash University, Pokhari, Jamshedpur. A detailed lecture on Thalassemia was delivered by Dr. (Prof.) Nirmal Kumar, Retired head of the department of medicine.Its prevalence,incidence, treatment and prevention were explained in detail.More emphasis were given on the early detection of the carriers. I,e Beta and Alpha Thalassemia. People with Thalassemia trait do not have any particular symptoms or problems except mild anemia. Hence, people should try themselves tested before marriage or before planning to have children. The Anurag Foundation also participated and its President shared video clip and explained about its support and help available from them. Rtn. Neelam Jayaswal gave a brief overview about our club and how it functions socially and in educating people by doing various awareness program.

River Cleaning

Project River cleaning: Rotary Jamshedpur Green in association with Jamshedpur Next Gen took an initiative to clean the river and the river bank. Three members of Jamshedpur Green and 2 members of Next Gen attended the project. This initiative reflects the Rotary Clubs ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare. The members expressed hope that their efforts will inspire others to be more mindful of proper waste disposal during public celebrations. The clubs also urged citizens to participate in maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces and emphasized the importance of eco-friendly practices during festivals.
